Welcome!

Hi, I'm Eddie Lawhorn — a self-described "professional nerd" and aspiring writer based in Huntsville, Alabama. I've written a mystery novel titled Mike Hardware, Private Eye.

Along the way, I’ve had a few quirky adventures: I won the Detective category of the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest in 1990, and the Children’s Literature category the following year. That sounds great until you realize that contest is to find the worst possible opening sentence for a hypothetical novel, making me officially one of the worst writers on the planet. I’ve also competed in the O. Henry Pun-Off World Championship, and I once walked away with $50,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
